Dear ISES Toronto Members:

For all of you just returning from The Special Event, I trust you’ve returned to Toronto with rejuvenated energy and tremendous new ideas. If this year’s REC is half as good as last year’s we can all head home from it with 3 new clients from south of the border.

I’d like to thank all of the members and non-members alike who joined us at the ISES Toronto Gala at the Courthouse on November 2nd. A great time was had by all and we had a record setting silent auction. Stay tuned for details on the 2005 gala which promises to be excellent

In February, the chapter is looking to boost the educational content of our meetings. The first meeting is held in conjunction with the BiZBash.TO Event Style Show happening on February 1st, 2005. Join us at 3 pm at Heritage Court, National Trade Centre to witness a panel discussion with the presidents of ISES, MPI, IMPAC and SITE. The presidents will be discussing “hot button” issues facing planners and suppliers in Toronto. A rockin’ cocktail party will follow featuring a performance by Maestro.

The formation of ISES Canada is well underway. What does this mean to you? Currently the Toronto chapter falls into what is considered the Northeast Region of ISES. The northeast region is comprised of chapters including New York, New England, Toronto, Montreal, Syracuse, Philadelphia, Hampton Roads, Washington DC and New Jersey. With the formation of a distinctly Canadian ISES body this will change. Are you tired of paying membership dues in US funds? Are you interested in sharing events with other Canadian chapters? If you answered yes, then you’re in luck. As more details and the exact marketing position for ISES Canada are determined you will all be in the know. Watch for the shift to happen this summer.
